What will the finished product look like?

You will have your photos edited and placed on a DVD with the disc face printed and in a slimline case. You can also choose to have Z-cards made up.

How long is the shoot?

This is entirely up to the kind of portfolio you are looking for. We spend about half an
Hour per look with a 15min outfit change per look.

How many photographs will we get at the end?

We sift through approximately 500 photographs taken at your fashion/model shoot and then we select between 40 to 50 photographs to be edited. These edited photographs are then given to you as part of the package to e-mail or make enlargements from.

	What equipment do you use? On the photography side. We use the Canon ‘EOS’ range of photographic cameras. At every fashion/model we carry a backup camera in the unforeseen event that something should go wrong with the main camera. We carry a selection of 3 lenses so that we can have the perfect lens for the perfect shot. On the video side we have: 3 HDV Sony Z5 cameras. CF card memory record units. External Microphones for the Sony cameras. On board lighting for the cameras. Do you use studio flash units? Yes we do. Studio flash units are utilised in the shoot to give you unsurpassed quality photographs. The flash units are driven by remote triggering leaving the photographer to move freely around. No flash units are placed on the cameras thus doing away with the ugly shadows found behind people against the walls. Will your photographers/cameramen have a professional appearance? Yes. The standard dress code for our photographers and crew is smart black shirt and jeans. Can we have a video clip done like on FTV of our fashion/model shoot? Yes you can. This is a great way to promote yourself to agencies. How long will this video clip be? The video clip will be about 10min long and edited to music. Can I choose where I want my shoot to be? Yes you may choose if you want a studio shoot or location shoot ie. An outdoor, lodge, pool, hotel etc. We can locate a place for you if we know more or less the look you are looking for. Do you supply a hair stylist, make up artist and stylist? We have these people on our data base and can recommend them to you. You can also organise your own hair stylist, make-up artist and stylist. It is your preference. Why should we pay a professional when our ‘Uncle George’ has offered to do it as a gift? Softlight Media has invested in costly professional grade equipment such as photographic cameras, studio flash units, lighting, tripods and editing equipment to ensure the best quality of your final product. ‘Uncle George’ doesn’t have the equipment or the expertise to provide you with a professional photographic/video shoot and final product. How long does it take to receive the final product? 10 working days for a fashion and model shoot. Can you do Fashion shows and Model graduation shows? Yes we can. Softlight Media has photographed and filmed many fashion and graduation shows. We have a team of three videographers running 3 different camera angles to give you and amazing documentation of your fashion/graduation show. Why should we hire your company to photograph our fashion/model shoot? We have photographed many models and have the equipment for any situation to be able to give you an unsurpassed quality product.
