What if something happens to our photographs and DVD/Blu-ray copy?

Softlight Media as a standard keeps a master DVD/Blu-ray of your corporate DVD/Blu-ray just incase something should happen to your copy. We will also keep all the raw footage that has been shot for life. This ensures that if you would like to do another DVD/Blu-ray in the future we can look at old footage shot and make use of it. We will also back up all photographs that we have taken and those will too be stored for life.

Can we play the DVD/Blu-ray through our computers?

Yes you can. We will give you 2 copies of the edit, one that works on your computer and one that works on your DVD/Blu-ray player.

Why should we pay a professional when our friend has offered to shoot it on his handy cam?

There is a big difference between a professional video to a home video. We know how to get the job done efficiently. We know how to film to enhance the appeal of the footage and to shoot in sequence to speed up the editing process. At the end of the day we will supply you a professional production and not a home video.

Can we choose our own background music for the DVD/Blu-ray?

Yes, you can. We will also go through our list of music and choose the songs that we think are most appropriate to use on your DVD/Blu-ray.

What kind of music can be put on the DVD/Blu-ray?

We would say anything you like. It is your DVD/Blu-ray and we will make it work for you. We can drop the volume of the music down to background level if there is a voice over or speech.

How long will the complete DVD/Blu-ray run?

For most corporate DVD/Blu-ray’s we say no longer than 15 minutes, 12 minutes is ideal. If it is a conference then we can run the DVDs/Blu-rays for as long as the conference.

Can we see samples of your work?

Yes, certainly. You are also welcome to set up a meeting in person and allow us to show you the high quality of our work at your offices or on our big screen at our office.

How long will it take you to film?

That all depends on what your requirements are? Please feel free to set up a meeting to discuss your requirements with us and we will shoot it in sequence so that the process is as efficient as possible.

Will your cameramen have a professional appearance?

Yes. The standard dress code for our cameramen and crew is dressed smart in black corporate wear.

Do you do voiceovers?

Yes we do. We have a sound proof room that we do voiceovers in. Should you require voiceover work for your DVD/Blu-ray we can shoot to accommodate the voice over which enhances the appeal of the DVD/Blu-ray and makes editing time less.

Can you make a training material DVD/Blu-ray for our company?

Yes you can. There is absolutely no reason why a DVD/Blu-ray can’t be made of any event such as training. Remember visual and audio aids combined are one of the most effective forms of communication in the world.

Will our DVD/Blu-ray’s have chapter points for easy movement in the DVD/Blu-ray?

Yes it will. We do interactive moving menus on all the DVD/Blu-rays with a scene selection and we also put extra chapter points in the DVD/Blu-ray to enable you to skip through. The chapter points will also be placed at the crucial points on the DVD/Blu-ray for example the start of each section of what your DVD/Blu-ray is showing.

What will the finished product look like?

All the DVD/Blu-rays come with professional photographic covers in boxes with the printed disc faces. You are able to put any branding on the covers and disc. All the DVD/Blu-rays come with moving menus and scene selections that follow the theme of your DVD/Blu-ray.

Do you do corporate photography?

Yes, we do. We will make use of studio lighting to enhance all the photographs. Please feel free to set up a meeting with us to discuss this further.
